Bokaro: Body of a woman was today recovered from a pond located under Tenughat OP of this district today.
Police said that the husband of the deceased has been arrested in the case while body of the woman has been sent for postmortem.
The father of the deceased said his daughter had been killed over a dowry demand of Rs 50,000 by her husband and in-laws.
The woman has been identified as Sabila Khatoon who was married to one Md Sagir Ansari of Gomia. Her father alleged that frequently she was being harassed for dowry by her husband and in-laws.
