Ray of development should reach to the last person in the society says chief minister

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that it is the target of the government to ensure that the rays of development reach to the last person in the society. Addressing a meeting of the district and the block coordinators at the project building here he said that there is a need to have a strong foundation so that development reaches to the people and as part of that initiative the institutions of self-governance are being strengthened in the state and even the full rights of the Gram Sabha are being utilised as with its help Gram Vikas Samiti and Adivasi Vikas committees are being formed which are responsible for execution of small schemes in the villages.

The Chief Minister directed to take the consent of the gram sabha and comments work so that streets in the villages are illuminated during night women do not have to run for water and strong and clean roads are built in the villages and asked to ensure that all the work should be completed before rains. He said that in all the villages Mini drinking water supply scheme based on solar power is being started as part of which in a small village one water storage tank and in Big villages more than one water storage tanks would be set up and through the Boring water would be provided. He said that in the first phase there would be attacked by in the other face from the year 2020 in every house water would be provided through a pipeline.

The Chief Minister said that under the second scheme in the villages with the help of paver blocks road should be strengthened as utilisation of paved blocks involves less cost and is also beneficial for underground water level and also makes the area look attractive. Mr Das said that under the third scheme in every village street lights would be put up and for this animal would be inked between
the rural development department and ESSL and from 1st April the work to erect street light would commence. 

The Chief Minister asked all those who were present to create awareness among people regarding Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Yojana and Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojana. He said that under these two schemes the farmers would be getting between Rs 11,000- Rs 31,000 while under Sukanya Yojana right from the time of the birth to the marriage of the girl a total of rupees 70,000 would be given and the district and the block coordinator should play a more active role so that more people can get benefit of these schemes. 

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced that block coordinator who are presently given rupees 15000 per month would get a hike of another Rs 2000 which could be provided to them from the month of April. Those present on the occasion also included Rural  development Minister Neelkanth Singh Munda Panchayati Raj Secretary Praveen Kumar Toppo and district Panchayati Raj officers and block coordinator from across the state.
