Ranchi: National President of Akhil Bhartiya Pichda Varg Sangh Inder Singh Chandapuri said that reservation formula given by AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto for OBC’s should be implemented in the state. Addressing a press conference here he said that as per the
reservation formula the reservation for the OBCs should be hiked to 27 pc in the state from the 14 pc while that of the SC should be taken to 14 pc to 10 pc while that of the ST should be taken from 26 pc to 32 pc on the likes of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and urged the Prime Minister to take positive steps in this regard.
He said that on February 17 a national convention cum state representative meet will be organized for which all the preparations have been completed and the event would be inaugurated by former CJI KG Balakrishnan and former deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Kumar Mahto. The meeting would be also attended by cabinet minister CP Chowdhary, Congress MLA Manoj Yadav, BJP MLA Jaiprakash Verma and AJSU MLA Ramchandra Sahis. Mr Chandapuri said that the event was not against any party or government but is aimed at awakening the community regarding their rights and appealed to the Prime Minister and other Chief Ministers to look into the problems of the community.
