Mr. Das said that the tribal society is far away from the female foeticide while on the other hand those who live in the urban areas through ultrasound are indulging in this social evil and asked the doctors not to indulge in such sins or else the state government
would take strict action against them in accordance with law. Describing women as the axis of development he said that too prevent them from smoke in the last 4 years 27 lakh gas cylinders and LPG stoves have been distributed while under the third phase which would commence from February 23, 15 lakh gas cylinders and gas stoves would be distributed among the women. He said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana so far 16 lakh golden cards have been distributed in the state and in the next three months 57 lakh families would be supplied with the golden cards so that the poor can get best treatment facilities. The Chief Minister alleged that in the name of the tribals parties who claim to do politics in their name have looted the maximum land in the state and have made tribals their vote bank just for their personal vested interest.H e said that no government took care of the Tana Bhagats who had fought in the Nation’s freedom struggle movement but it was his government who provided them with homes under PMAY and also distributed milk animals among the members of the community for their economic empowerment.

Mr .Das said that work has commenced to provide drinking water in 1200 tribals and the dalit villages in the state and from April onwards it would be ensured that water reaches to these villages. The Chief Minister asked the people to remain a lot from some Anti National forces who are trying to destroy the culture of the tribals and ask them to stage a joint fight against these forces. He said
that the state government has respect for all the religions but playing with the religious sentiments by luring and misleading people will not be acceptable. Those present on the occasion also included MLAs of Latehar and Manika, senior government officials and a large number of people. During the function, the Chief Minister also distributed a sum of Rs 2.30 crore among 4,183 beneficiaries of Sukanya Yojana.
