People welfare schemes should reach to each and every household : Raghubar

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that ensuring the reach of the welfare schemes for the villagers poor and farmers to each and every house in the state has been the priority of his government. In the last 4 years welfare schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, construction of household toilets, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, power connection in each and every home has been implemented with dedication in the state he said adding that it should be the target of all to make sure that the poor tribal the dalits and the poor families in the state are able to get the maximum benefits of the government schemes.

Mr Das made these comments while addressing the meeting of the 20 point programme state district and block office committees meet at the project building here. The Chief Minister said that under the third phase of the Ujjwala Yojana in the state all the women who have ration cards would be provided LPG gas cylinders and gas stove but only those women would be covered under the scheme who do not have a previous gas connection in their family.

He said that the first and second phase of the Ujjwala Yojana has been highly successful in the state and even in the third phase 100% success rate would be achieved and pointed out that Ujjwala Yojana is a very ambitious scheme of the central government and it should be a priority that the scheme reaches to all the poor families in the state.

Mr Das said all round development of the farmers is another key area for the Government and Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana has been started in Jharkhand under which farmers would get a grant of rupees 5000 on per acre of land for agriculture need and such farmers who have less than 5 acres of land would also be able to get grants under the scheme. He said similarly in the state to ensure the success of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign Sukanya Yojana has been started under which post the birth of a girl child till 18 years funds would be provided and to ensure that these welfare schemes are realised on the ground and in each and every village the
presidents vice president and other officials associated with state block and district level 20 point programme committee would play an important role. He asked the people present on the occasion to ensure that these schemes are implemented with dedication among the poor and the farmers.

On the occasion, Agriculture Secretary Pooja Singhal detailed about the Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana while Secretary of the food and civil supplies department Amitabh Kaushal also apprised over the third phase of the Ujjwala Yojana. Those present on the occasion also included vice president of state level 20 point programme implementation committee Rakesh Prasad and others.
