Barnwal asks to prepare budget in advance for expenditure to be incurred on creating awareness of government schemes

Ranchi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Secretary IPRD Sunil Kumar Barnwal directed the officials to make advance budget estimates for the cost to be incurred on creating awareness on government schemes for the year 2019-2020.

Reviewing the functioning of the department with all the officials of the IPRD and DPROs at the Suchana Bhawan here he said that advanced planning would ensure that there is no lack of funds and adequate funds remain in all the separate heads. He said that community radio should be used to create awareness regarding the schemes of the state government as it was a rising and very effective medium of creating awareness and it would also help that schemes reach to a larger audience.

He asked the officials to make more use of social media apps so that people also remain connected and are easily informed about the schemes of the state government. In the meeting, a discussion was also held on the awareness creation regarding the schemes of the state government and review of the various schemes of center and state government schemes awareness regarding which were being created through different mediums.

Those present on the occasion included Additional Secretary IPRD Ramakant Singh IPRD Director Ram Lakhan Prasad Gupta and other officials.
