Raghubar performs Bhoomi Pujan for Rakha mines and Chapdi in Jadugoda

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Rakha mines and restarted mining
operations at Rakha mines which were closed for the last 18 years and also opened a new mine Chapdi in Jadugoda under Ghatshila subdivision of the East Singhbhum district. 

Speaking on the occasion he said that since he too who came from a workers family he can understand the pain and the sufferings of the people of any area in which mine or a factory is closed down due to some reason. He said that it was the result of the hard work which has been put in by the MP of the area and efforts of the central and state government that a new dawn has been brought in the lives of the people of the area which would also create prosperity and employment.

The Chief Minister said that in the country availability of copper is very less and the metal has to be imported from other countries. He said that noone cared for the poor who were working for several years in this mine but it is a result of the hard work of the state government that this mine has been restarted. He said that it is efforts the central and the state government that India emerges as an exporter of Copper and Singbhum has got to play an important role in this regard.

Mr Das said that the union budget is dedicated to the farmer's poor workers and the middle class and after independence, it was a historic budget in which the concerns of the workers of the organized and unorganized sectors have also been addressed. He said workers in the unorganized sector would be eligible for a pension of 3000 rupees after the age of 60 while under Pradhan Mantri Krishi sanman Yojana on per acre of land 6000 rupees would be given subsequently the state government is also giving rupees 5000 for per acre of land under the Krishi Ashirwad Yojana which makes that a minimum of 11,000 rupees would be available to the farmers. 

Mr Das said that some external forces were trying to destroy the culture of Birsa Munda and Sidhu Kanu for which joint efforts one idiot to take on these forces he called upon the people to form such a culture so that future generations also come to follow it and pointed out that tremendous awareness has now been found in this area among the people of Santhal Pargana region. He said that the state government has also made provisions that children from classes 1 to 5 in the government schools are taught in the Ole-chikky literature for which soon teachers would be appointed. 

Chief Minister asked the people present on the occasion to get their girls registered in the school and said that from the time of the birth to the marriage of the girl child the state government would be providing a sum of rupees 70000 for their betterment. Those present on the occasion included Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto Ghatshila MLA Laxman Tudu and CMD Hindustan Copper Ltd Santosh Sharma.
