Additional Secretary,Ramakant Singh reviews 15 cases usnder the 'Jansambad' program

An estimated Rs. 5 crores 63 lakh have been prepared for the restoration of 867 quarters built under the Valmiki Ambedkar Slum Housing Scheme in Chirodi, Ranchi. Ramakant Singh, Additional Secretary, has instructed the Urban Development Department to take steps towards sanctioning the amount and start the work of restoration. Additional Secretary was reviewing the complaints in a weekly review program of Jansamvad Kendra at Suchna Bhawan. He reviewed a total of 15 cases.

People from around 400 households are affected due to the closure of water supply from March 2017 in Gopikandar village of Dumka. Due to burnt motor water could not be supplied to the village from Water tank. The Additional Secretary instructed to start the water supply within a week.

Due to the filling of the soil in check-dam of the Kolbeir village of Simdega, about 4000 people are facing in drinking water crisis. Drinking water supply through pipelines is closed from last 4 months. The Additional Secretary directed the concerned department to take immediate steps and send report within a week.

90-year-old Sofia Devi from Bokaro has not been paid old age pension for last 28 months. Similarly, Mayawati Kumari from Deoghar has not been paid divyangta pension for the last four months, the Additional Secretary instructed to pay the amount and update report immediately. 

Nearly 9 computer operators employed in District Rural Development Agency in Garhwa are being paid less than sanctioned amount and also their payment is pending since long. The Additional Secretary instructed to ensure regular payment as soon as the allocation is received.

Mukesh Kumar Manjhi and Sachin Kumar Das worked as soil testing through outsourcing in the Chemical Soil Testing Laboratory, Dumka, but they have not been paid. On this complaint, the Additional Secretary instructed to ensure payment within this month.

Ashok Kumar Prasad was working in Road Construction Department, Project Bhawan. He has been missing since last 15 years. Even after 15 years of the incident, his dependent has not got a job on compassion. During the review of this complaint, the nodal officer of the concerned department said that in such case, job can be given only after issuing death certificate. On this, the Additional Secretary instructed that in this regard, consult with the Department of Personnel and Home Affairs and then take action. 

Near the Adityapur Health Center in Saraikela-Kharsawan, there is a lot of hassle in the movement of ambulances etc. due to market expansion on both sides of the road. The Additional Secretary instructed to remove the jam and take steps to resolve the matter permanently.

Rajesh Kumar Mandal of Giridih had security insurance in Jharkhand Rural Bank, Branch Chichaki. On April 13, 2016, he died in a road accident. Despite the claims presented in the bank, his wife has not been paid the sum insured. While reviewing this complaint, the Additional Secretary instructed the concerned department to collect the documents related to the accident and ensure payment to the affected in seven days.

Bhim Mahto was working as fourth grade worker in Graduate School College for Women, Jamshedpur from 17 August 1984. He died on 20 November 1999 during the work. After his death, dependent wife Shakuntala Mahto was appointed on 18 December 2003. However, she has not been regularized so far. The Additional Secretary instructed to execute the case in one week.
