Ranchi/ Deoghar: Police has arrested seven cyber criminals including one from Ranchi and six others from Deoghar district of the state. In Ranchi City, SP Sujata Venapani said the arrested has been identified as Siraj Ansari who hails from Pandan Pahari under Kathikund Police Station area of the Dumka district.
She said for the last two years this man was duping money of people through cyber fraud and most recently he had siphoned off Rs 42,000 from the account of one Madan Prasad of Lalpur. Meanwhile from Mohanpur police station area of the Deoghar district police has arrested six members of a cybercrime gang.
Police said that the member of the gang used to conduct cyber crime using the unified payment interface. The arrested have been identified as Nilesh Mandal, Anil Mandal, Lalu Mandal, Vikas Mandal, Babloo Mandal and Ranjeet Yadav. Police has also recovered 13 mobile phones from their possession.
