Two arrested from Hyderbad for threatening BSP MLA

Ranchi: Police has arrested two men in Hyderabad for issuing life threats and demanding extortion of Rs 20 lakh from BSP MLA
from Hussainabad Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta.

Briefing the press Ranchi SSP Anish Gupta today said that the arrested have been identified as Deepu Modanwal, a resident of Chakiya police station area of Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh while another was Roshan Singh Parmar of Japla Police Station area of the Palamu district. The mobile and the sim card which was used for threatening the MLA was also recovered from them.

Earlier, in this case, the MLA had registered an FIR at Jaggananathpur Police Station area on January 28 and had also met DIG Ranchi Amol V Homkar and SSP Anish Gupta over the issue and had demanded security for himself and his family. He had also raised the matter in the assembly during the ongoing budget session.
