Raghubar directs to provide retirement benefits immediately to employees

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has directed the officials to ensure that all the retired government employees should be given their benefits on the day of the retirement day itself. Chairing the Siddhi Baat programme at the Suchana Bhawan here he said that the state government had already issued instructions in this regard but some of the departments are not following the instructions.He said that two years before the retirement of the employees the department should complete all the paper works so that after retirement issues related to the pension should not remain pending.

The instructions from the Chief Minister followed after a complaint in this regard was registered by the retired assistant engineer of the power department who had retired from Gola block of Ramgarh district on January 31, 2018 and till date was not getting the pension. The Chief Minister directed the officials of the department to ensure that the pension is paid within a week. A total of 16 complaints were reviewed by him and necessary instructions were given to the officials to solve the problems. 

One Baijnath Prasad of Dhanbad said that the pax of Rajganj block had provided him seeds for paddy crops but the crops failed over which the officials said that the amount will be recovered from the company which has supplied the seeds and the same would be distributed among the farmers which has not been done so far. The officials of the department said that the compensation was also detailed as the number of farmers was not available but now the allocation has been made over which the Chief Minister asked to distribute the compensation among the farmers as soon as possible.

Over a complaint from West Singhbhum were it was pointed that the honorarium for the 18 computer operators who were posted in the
district supplies office in Chaibasa from October 2016 to October 2017 the secretary of the food and civil supplies department said that
the allocation has been made and within a week the payment would be made.

One Ram Kol of Dumka had registered a complaint that his fatherChudka Kol’s land was acquired for building the High School in Nakti in the year 2004 but till date no compensation of job was provided in lieu off the land acquired. On this the Dumka Dc said that the father of the complainant had given the land with mutual consent and had not demanded any compensation or job however the Chief Minister said that after considering the condition of the family he assured that he would be provided compensation at the Chief Minister’s level. 

Lakhan Lal Mandal of Jamtara who is grappling with serious heart ailments is undergoing treatment at the Mission Hospital in Durgapur and had applied for medical assistance at the office of the civil surgeon Jamtara in October 2018 under Chief Minister serious disease treatment scheme but so far has not received any money over which the Secretary of the department said that funds have been sanctioned for treatment. The Chief Minister asked the Jamtara DC to provide the money as soon as possible
