Governor urges academicians to translate at least one book in Hindi

Deoghar: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais has appealed to the educationist to translate at least one book of any subject into Hindi. He was addressing a seminar on National Education Policy 2020 in AS College here.

Addressing the seminar organized by Nation Economic Association and Bihar Economic Association, he outlined the National Education Policy (NEP). He said that a nation gets it recognition by its qualitative educational policy on a global platform. By optimum utilisation of national talent and resources, the multi-dimensional development of human being can be achieved. Keeping this in mind, the NEP 2020 has been formulated, he added. The NEP 2020 tries to bridge us to our mother tongue and has respect for language at the same time.

New educational policy emphasis adopting mother tongue because our thought, behaviour and culture are integrated with it. After the implementation of this policy our student will not lag behind only because of language, he said.

He categorically claimed that the NEP 2020 is practical and in the national favour. The new NEP 2020 will change the mindset to get job into being employer. He said that emphasis has been given to research work in this policy. One can research better when one can think in ones mother tongue because thought germinates in the mother language. 

Before attending seminar, the Jharkhand Governer inaugurated an IGNOU centre at Taksh Shila Vidya Pith and foundation stone of Jharkhand open university was laid in AS College by him. The seminar was attended by VC Dr Sona Minza of SKMU and others including Deoghar DC Manju Nath Bhajantri and SP Subash Jatt.
