Sukhdeo Bhagat hails Rahul Gandhi’s idea of minimum income guarantee scheme

Ranchi: Congress MLA Sukhdeo Bhagat hailed the idea of minimum income guarantee scheme which has been coined by AICC
chief Rahul Gandhi and has described the decision as a historic and a decision which is related to the poor people of the country.

Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here he said that Rahul Gandhi delivers on all the promises which he has
made to the people whether it was announcing a loan waiver for the farmers, returning the land and providing correct price to the products. He said that the Congress party has decided that after winning the polls of 2019 the party will not take much time in implementing the scheme like it had taken less than 10 days to announce the loan waiver for farmers.

He said that it is the Congress party which has given to the nation Mnrega, Right to food, Right to Information, Right to Service, Forest Rights etc which the BJP and its state governments failed to realize on the ground and even the condition of flagship schemes in Jharkhand was pathetic.

Mr. Bhagat said that before the budget of 2016-17 the Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramaniam had given the idea of universal basic income which was ignored by the Modi government. He said that the Modi government ensured a guarantee of maximum income for the corporate houses but did not worry about the poor and farmers. Those present in the press conference also included JPCC media in charge Rajesh Thakur and other spokespersons.
