Chas Mayor arrested manhandling case in Bokaro

Bokaro: Police has arrested the mayor of Chas Municipal Corporation and two others following a scuffle and beating of a couple of men by the mayor in and his supporters over the issue of putting up a nameplate during the inauguration of a park in the area.

Police said that mayor Bholu Paswan, contractor Abhijeet Modak and Congress leader Manoj Rai who were arrested in the case were later also forwarded to jail. Police said that supporters of district congress secretary Amar Swarnkar had removed the nameplate which was being put up at the park construction site.

After which supporters of both sides beat each other with sticks in which Swarnkar and on of his supporters got injured after which a FIR was lodged against the mayor and his supporters following which police made the arrests.
