Construction of residential schools soon : CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed to commence the construction of residential schools in the state on the
priority basis and accord priority to Dalits, tribals and children of the backward classes so that they can be provided quality education
and brought to the mainstream of life. 

The Chief Minister today watched the presentation on the construction of a residential school in Bedo of Ranchi, Khuntpani of Chaibasa and Massalia in Dumka at the project building. In the programme, the officials of the building construction department said that in Bedo the school will be built on 15 acres while in Khuntpani it would be on 36 acres and in Massalia on 25 acres of land. In all these residential schools classes would be held from class 6th to 12th and in every class, there would be 100 students.

In Bedo the school would be for girls while in the other two places it would be for boys and all these schools will be equipped with an administrative building, hostels for children and teachers, sports ground, kitchen and dining hall, library guest house, indoor sports complex and health center etc.

Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary Education AP Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Barnwal and others.
