Amid controversies 72 pc students appear in 6th JPSC mains exam

Ranchi: Despite the issue of the 6th JPSC being in the limelight from the Vidhan Sabha to the High Court about 72 percent of candidates appeared on day one of the mains examinations of the state civil services exam across the 57 examination centers of the state capital.

JPSC Secretary Ranendra Kumar said that on the first day of the mains examination the papers were held peacefully in the two sittings across the examination center in which 72 percent candidates appeared. However, with the news in social media showing questions being asked which were two years old he said that the question paper had got printed two years ago and kept locked in
the treasury.

In the first sitting examination of English-Hindi papers were taken in which the candidates needed to get the minimum qualification marks of 30 while in the second sitting the language paper was held of 150 marks. The mains exam would be held from January 28 to February 1.
