Raghubar Das to present his 5th consecutive budget on Tuesday in assembly

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das who also holds the Finance Portfolio will be tabling the annual budget for the state
for fiscal 2018-19 in the assembly on Tuesday. The budget would also be the fifth consecutive budget for Mr. Das and also the last full-fledged budget as the state is scheduled to head for Assembly polls in the months of November-December this year.

Last year on January 23 Mr. Das had tabled the budget for the year 2018-19 worth Rs 80,200 crore. Keeping in mind the Lok Sabha polls which will be held sometimes in the month of April and May it is expected that the government will also increase the budget size to accommodate many schemes which would be aimed at the welfare of the farmers, poor, women and weaker sections of the society.
