Budget Session: Govt assures to probe alleged irregularities in 6th JPSC mains exams

Ranchi: The government has assured the house that it will probe all the cases of alleged irregularities committed in the mains exam of the 6th JPSC and said that any decision will be taken keeping into the mind the future of the youth of the state. The assurance was given by Minister of Land Reforms and Revenue Amar Kumar Bauri in the house after Congress MLA Sukhdeo Bhagat raised the
question of vacant 592 posts in different categories under JPSC and also pointed out the issue of promotion not being provided to JPSC officials since long. In his response, the minister admitted to the fact that 592 posts were vacant under different categories in JPSC and said that 81 officials of JPSC have been given promotion in different categories since July 2018. 

Raising the issue of gross irregularities being committed in the 6th JPSC exam Mr Bhagat said that when the matter related to the exam was already in the court than how come admit card for mains exam were made available for downloading and JPSC announcing to conducting the mains exam from January 28 to February 1. Mr Bhagat questioned over declaring 106 times results following the PT exam and pointed out that even the recommendation of the minister himself was not recommended.

Mr Bauri said that JPSC was an autonomous body, therefore, it has started the process and pointed that since there was lack of officials in the state which was also hampering development works it is important that exams are conducted and new officials are received. On this, the Congress MLA pointed that JPSC was only an advisory body and demanded that the government should cancel the exams. The leader of the Opposition Hemant Soren demanded that a decision should be taken soon and the house should be informed as the main exams are scheduled to commence from January 28 itself.
