Need to make Jharkhand as per the dreams of martyrs: Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Hemant Soren advocated the need to make Jharkhand as per the dreams of martyrs. Addressing a gathering organized at Kadma on the occasion of 35th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto on Monday he said that he state will always remember the sacrifice of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto.

He said that the late Nirmal Mahto who was a key leader of the separate Jharkhand movement had laid down his life for a separate state for Jharkhand. He said there is a need to do the work of taking the state forward by following in their footsteps and contribute to the development of the state with solidarity.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid homage to the martyr Nirmal Mahto by garlanding his statue. The Chief Minister also paid floral tributes at the memorial of martyr Nirmal Mahto at his residence and met the family members.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Guruji many heroes had given their martyrdom to get the status of a separate state for Jharkhand. Many brave sons of the Kolhan division have given their all to get a separate status for the state he said adding there is a need to build Jharkhand as per the dreams of those martyrs for which the state government is working full commitment. He said that all the Chief Ministers of the State had come to the meeting of NITI Aayog held in New Delhi.

In the meeting, he had said that Jharkhand’s mineral is going to the whole country, but Jharkhand is not getting its proper compensation. The Chief Minister said that Rs 1 lakh 36 crores is owed by the mining companies therefore the Central Government should work to give this amount so that this money can be used for the all-round development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that a drought-like situation is brewing in the state and the government was working for the benefit of the farmers. The government is planning to get irrigation for agriculture he said adding that concrete forests are growing all around the state for this the government has brought a scheme under which the people living in the city who plant a fruit tree will be given 5 units of electricity free of cost.

Hemant Soren said that on August 9 and 10, the tribal festival is going to be celebrated in the state. Through this festival, the government will work to keep the tribal culture on the national stage. In this festival work will be done to show the tribal civilization he said that in this festival tribal brothers and sisters from different states and countries and abroad will come, who will make the people aware of their culture and they will get a chance to understand the culture of the communities here. Ministers Champai Soren, Banna Gupta, Joba Manjhi, many MLAs and others were present on the occasion.
