Giridih: The district police has arrested a group of five criminals who were involved in executing crime in Giridih and its adjoining areas from Sariya Police Station area of this district along with arms.
Giridih SP Surendra Kumar Jha said that following information regarding the acts of one Sashtra Peoples Morcha led by one Umesh Giri alias Umesh Pandey who was creating obstacles in development works and collecting levy from the contractors a police team under SDPO Bagodar- Sariya was constituted which managed to arrest five members of gang.
The arrested have been identified as Rajesh Mandal, Sachin Mandal, Nageshwar Mahto, Santosh Kumar and Shaukat Ansari who were arrested from Munro Vihar forest . He said that from the arrested couple of 315 bore rifle a desi pistol few live cartridges 20 pieces of gelatin 20 pieces of detonators mobiles and uniforms have been
recovered.
