Two boys found dead under mysterious circumstances in New Morhabadi area of Capital

Ranchi: Two children hailing from New Morhabadi locality under Bariyatu Police Station area of the state capital died under suspicious circumstances while their parents were admitted in a serious condition in the hospital. 

Police said that the family makes a living be selling ‘samosas’ in Morhabadi. The man identified as Subhash along with his wife Kamla Devi and a couple of sons used to live together in the area while their relatives also lived near-by. The relatives said that Friday night Kamla had prepared ‘pitha’ ( a type of rice cake traditional delicacy) which she along with her relatives had eaten together after which all of them slept off.

Saturday morning the woman complained of vomiting and woke up her husband who also complained that he too was not feeling well.
They tried to wake up their sons Vikram (7) and Pappu (13) but as they did not wake up the man called his relatives and took the children to RIMS were both the children were declared brought dead by the doctors.

The condition of Subhash and Kamla was also stated to be critical. On the other hand, police suspected that the deaths might have been caused due to consumption of some poisonous substance however police was waiting for the final postmortem report to come out with right reasons behind the deaths.
