Deoghar Airport gets the status of aerodrome, planes from Airbus to Boeing to operate

Deoghar: The Deoghar Airport has been upgraded from a 3-C to 4-C license because of which the way has been cleared for commercial aircraft to fly from the airport. Under this Deoghar Airport has now got the status of an aerodrome. 

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) said in a tweet that the airport would soon be inaugurated for the convenience of the pilgrims coming to Baidyanathdham. 

Deoghar airport is likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 12. All preparations are being completed regarding this. Deoghar Airport has got a license for the upgraded aerodrome from DGCA.

Deoghar airport is being made operational to connect North-West Bengal and South-East Bengal including Jharkhand with air connectivity. Here due to the upgradation now the landing and takeoff of large aircraft with passenger capacity from 250 to 420 in Category E can be done from Deoghar Airport.

In this, aircraft like Airbus 330, Airbus 340 are included in the E-category. The Boeing 737 Series can operate passenger flights of the 737- 700, 737-800 and 737-900 as well as commercial run-way operations. This will increase the movement of commercial goods in Santhal Parganas to other cities of the country. In this regard Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Rajiv Bansal said that Deoghar Airport is one of the best airports in the country. 

On July 12, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate this airport after visiting. A day after this which is from July 13, the flight will start from Deoghar airport. Apart from Ranchi, Patna, and Kolkata, flights will also be available from Deoghar airport to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The airport has been found to be up to security standards.
