Dr Bharti Kashyap gets IMA Appreciation Award

Ranchi: Dr Bharti Kashyap, the co-founder of city-based Kashyap Memorial Eye Hospital, was awarded an Appreciation Award by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in a ceremony in the national capital New Delhi on Friday.

The award was handed over by IMA President Dr Sahajanand Prasad Singh. Kashyap, who is a well-known eye doctor, is also known for her social activities. In 2018, Kashyap received the Nari Shakti award from the President of India for her work in the campaign to eradicate cancer among women and for eye safety, particularly among children. 

In 2021, she received the Dr Jyoti Prasad Ganguly Memorial Award from IMA. She got a women empowerment award in 2018, Doctor of the Year award in 2017 and Med Achiever award in 2014 from IMA.

Dr Kashyap has been working tirelessly for removing cervical cancer from Jharkhand, Vision for Jharkhand, and eye donation.
