Health Minister boycotts Mega Health Camp in Khunti

Khunti: Health Minister Banna Gupta on Sunday boycotted a mega health camp organised in this district.

Despite reaching the circuit house he did not turn up at the venue and returned back to the capital. He alleged that neither the Chief Minister has been invited to the event nor his photos have been put up at the venue. He said that health department will not become part of any politics. 

Adding further Gupta said that the politics being done by the centre is against the federal structure of the country. He said that in the health camp resources of the center and state government were involved therefore not inviting the Chief Minister is disrespectful. He also held the Khunti DC responsible for the incident.

The minister also called up the Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department and asked him whether the Chief Minister was invited to the event or not.

Banna further said that after reaching the circuit house he was informed that neither the Chief Minister was invited to the event nor his photos were put up on the stage so he has decided to boycott the event.

The Union Tribal Welfare Ministry had organised a mega health camp in Khunti in which Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais Union Minister Arjun Munda was present.
