Strengthening of villages is priority for state government: Chief Minister

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that strengthening villages is a priority for the government as then only the panchayat blocks district and state will become strong. Addressing a conclave organized by the Personnel Administrative Reform and Rajbhasha Department for JPSC officials he said that it was their moral responsibility to ensure that development schemes reach the last person in the society. He said that wherever the officials should work they should set an example and also make sure that their work does not hurt others.

The Chief Minister said that the officials are an inseparable part of the government and act as its eyes nose and ear and play an important role in the all-around development of the state. He suggested that by winning the faith of the people the schemes can be successfully implemented on the ground. The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand was different from other states as all five divisions have their own features moreover Jharkhand was a tribal Dalit backward and minorities-dominated state, therefore, there was a need to move forward by strengthening its different geographic conditions language and culture.

He asked the officials to know the local language so that middlemen can not come in between. He further instructed the officials to make sure that all get the benefits of the universal pension schemes as small schemes impact poor workers and farmers therefore ensuring the well-being and prosperity of such communities was their responsibility and also warned them not to make the misuse of their posts. He said that the youth of the state are working to give a new direction to Jharkhand as despite limited resources they have made a name for themselves at the national and international levels.

He said that children from the state have made their name in the games of archery, hockey, and cricket and are even not behind in the area of education as this time 25 students from Jharkhand cleared UPSC which shows that the state was moving ahead in the area of education as compared to other states. He said that the government was trying to link employment generation schemes recruitment sports policy etc. He pointed out that during the pandemic the state government demonstrated the skills to tackle the situation peacefully despite having limited resources.

He said that as the situation will improve more hiring will be done and highlighted that after 32 years agriculture officers and for the first time since the creation of Jharkhand senior scientists have been appointed to state law and science laboratory. The Chief Minister said that there is no reason why the state should fall behind as 42 percent of mineral wealth is located here and apart from natural resources there was honest and hardworking manpower which if used properly can take the state forward.

He said that there is a need to come up with bigger plans for the development of the state and it appears for the first time under this government rules and policies are being framed which are in the interest of the state. Rural Development Minister Aalamgir Aalam, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary Personnel Department Vandana Dadel and Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey were present on the occasion.
