Majority of opposition parties give all party meet before Budget Session a miss

Ranchi: The all-party meeting which was called by Speaker Dinesh Oroan before the budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly turned out to be a damp squib as barring Congress party none of the opposition parties turned up for the meeting. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Raghubar Das Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neelkanth Singh Munda AJSU legislature wing leader and minister Chandraprakash Chowdhary while Congress was represented by Lohardaga MLA Sukhdeo Bhagat. Speaker Dinesh Oroan told reporters after the meeting that he had asked the members present to ensure that no one tries to create during the Governor’s speech. He said that those who have any objections should raise their issue during the thanksgiving
motion on the Governor’s speech. On the absence of leaders in the meeting, he said on the first day of the session the meeting of the work advisory committee will be held in which many suggestions would come. He said that he wanted the house to function properly
and ensure that participation of all the members are there in the house.

Mr Oraon said that discussion would be held on various topics in the house and urged the MLAs not to indulge in any act which is against the prestige and honour of the house.
