Ranchi: Two former Chief Minister’s of Jharkhand including JMM’s Shibu Soren and Babulal Marandi of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha
(Prajatantrik) celebrated their birthdays with their respective party workers. In a function held at the residence of Shibu Soren who is also popularly known as Dishom Guru or Guruji his son and also a former Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with party workers cut a 75 pound cake while on the other hand a function was also organised at JVM headquarters where Mr Marandi cut a cake along with party workers and accepted the greetings of the party workers.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das took to Twitter to extend his best wishes to both the leaders on their birthdays and prayed for their long life and good health. The JVM(P) celebrated the birthday of its party supremo as Sankalp Diwas during which blood donation camps, medical camps, fruit distribution and books and notebook distribution programme was done by the party workers. On the other hand, since early morning a large number of party workers and senior leaders had lined up at the residence of Guruji to extend their greetings to the Dumka MP. Shibu Soren was born in Nemra village of Gola block of the Ramgarh district on January 11, 1944.
He has held the chair of the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on three occasions and is at present the chairperson of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha which is the main opposition party in Jharkhand. He had first become the Chief Minister in the year 2005 and his political career has also served as a Union Minister. Similarly, Babulal Marandi was born on January 11, 1958 at Kodayebangh village of Giridih district and is at present the president of the regional outfit JVM(P). He was the first Chief Minister of the state after Jharkhand came into existence in the year 2000. He was also elected to the Lok Sabha from Koderma seat.
