Those who want to know where are jobs in country they should see the ‘Mahakumbh’ in Jharkhand: Dharmendra Pradhan

Ranchi: On a day when Jharkhand set a record of sorts by providing employment letters to 1.06 lakh youth on a single day in the private sector Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan asked the detectors who question were are jobs to come and witness the ‘Mahakumbh’ in Jharkhand.

Speaking as the Guest of Honour during the Global Skill Summit 2019 organised at Khelgaon here he said if the government has will power vision and commitment than any goal is not difficult to achieve. He said that it was for the first time in the history of Independent India at a single spot employment letters have been given to one lakh youth. He said that yesterday a new chapter has been added in the history of the nation as the parliament passed the 124th constitutional amendment providing 10 per cent reservation to the
economically weak in the general category.

He said that at the time of framing of the constitution the reservation was provided by the makers of the constitution on the basis of caste which was confined to 50 per cent of the population. The Union Minister said that after independence, nobody thought about the poor as poverty does not have any caste creed or religion and it is a bane for the entire society. He said that the presence of many ambassadors and industrialists was proof of the rising manpower of Jharkhand.

He pointed that in Dubai Project 2020 there was a need of atleast 50000 divers and even if 10000 divers reach to Dubai from Jharkhand than prosperity will be brought in their families. He said that there was a need for trained manpower in many nations of the globe including Japan and the United Kingdom and there was a need to skill the youth as per the needs of the globe.

Mr Pradhan said that Jharkhand has been blessed with mineral and natural wealth has manpower and key sectors of tourism mining and agriculture and if the youth are provided with the needed skills than all sectors can further develop. He said that even 50 years ago skill and ancillary sectors were present in Jharkhand. Mr Pradhan said in the 21st century the world was getting digitised and people needed to change accordingly.

He said that Eastern Region of the country has the potential to be the flag bearer of that change. The minister pointed the example of Vietnam which was similar to Jharkhand in many ways and despite being a small nation it had fought with the USA and is giving a tough fight to China in industrialisation and is one of leading textile hubs of the world.
