JD(U) leader Balyawi raps govt over poor condition of Urdu language & Madrassas in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Janta Dal (United) national general secretary and MLA Gulam Rasool Balywai said that no work has been done by the state government to address the concerns of Madrassas in Jharkhand or upliftment and enrichment of the Urdu language. 

Addressing the press at the old circuit house here he said Urdu has vanished from the state as there are no teachers to teach the subject either in the schools and colleges. He said that whichever party has ruled the state has so far branded Urdu as the language of the Muslims and pointed in the days of Independence struggle Urdu was the key language against the British Rule and even today the chant of ‘Inkalab  Zinabad’ is in Urdu.

He said that the condition of madrassas in Jharkhand was not worth mentioning also. Attacking the so called secular forces who have also been in power he Jharkhand he said that even they did not take any step for the betterment of the Madrassas. He said that compared to Bihar not even on zero scale work has been done in Jharkhand for the betterment of the Madrassas and Urdu language. He asked the Jharkhand government to get the script imported from Bihar and see how things can
be turned around.

The former Rajya Sabha MP said that the secular forces made Muslims handicapped and used them only for their vote bank politics. He said that the community is also now fed up as they were being used for just ensuring the defeat of one party or another and accused the Congress and the JMM for working for their personal and family interests.

Commenting on the verdict on the Latehar lynching case he said that after the 8 accused were awarded life imprisonment by the court in this case the faith of the people has increased on the judiciary. He also condemned the state government of not having a single scheme, project or bridge named after Sheikh Bhikari.

Over the forward quota bill, he said pointed that real number of actual beneficiaries of the scheme would be like a ‘pinch of salt’ and said that Sachar Committee report clearly stated the condition of muslims in the country was pathetic than the dalits however, no one talked out providing any reservation to them.
