Sudden change in weather sends shiver among people

Ranchi: The Weather in the state took a sudden turn on Tuesday as a result of which till late in the morning the sum remained under thick cloud cover in the capital. Such was the change in the weather that only a few school buses and office goers were spotted in the morning on the roads. This change has further intensified the cold wave in the city which has increased the chill in the air.

School children and their parents had the worst time dropping them to school or for waiting for the bus at their respective bus stops. The maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 20 degree Celsius while the minimum was 11.2 degree Celsius in Ranchi, on the other hand, Kanke witnessed a maximum temperature of 18.8 degree Celsius while the minimum was at 10.2 degree Celsius.

The fog adversely hit traffic on Ranchi-Tata, Ranchi- Ramgarh and Ranchi- Patratu roads as due to the valley in these areas the visibility remained very low due to which brakes were applied on the speed of the vehicles. The weather scientists have predicted that the weather will continue to remain the same for the next two years while at some place scanty rainfall is also expected. The local met department in its prediction for the next one week has said that the maximum temperature will remain between 24- 26 degree Celsius while the minimum would hover around 7-9 degree Celsius.
