Rains splash many areas of Jharkhand

Ranchi: Many districts of the state on Sunday witnessed rainfall and light showers throughout the day which was coupled with cold winds and fog.

According to MET the effect of low atmospheric pressure formed in many parts of southern Pakistan and Rajasthan is visible in the state. Due to Western Disturbance chill and shivering has increased in the state and even strong winds were reported blowing in some parts. Going forward there is a possibility of hailstorms at isolated places over northern and adjoining central parts of the state. The weather patterns will remain more or less the same on Monday as well.

The capital too witnessed rainfall since Sunday morning and sun was not visible throughout the day. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of the capital has been recorded at 24.6 degree celsius and the minimum temperature is 14.0 degree celsius. Three mm of rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours. The humidity level in the air is recorded at a maximum of 97 percent and a minimum of 47 percent.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a gradual increase in the minimum temperature in the northern and central parts of the state while no major change is likely in the southern parts. There is also a possibility that from January 26, 2022, a gradual drop in the minimum temperature can be seen by 2-3 degrees. The maximum temperature is likely to be 3-4 degrees celsius below normal on Monday.

It rained intermittently in many areas of Jamshedpur on Sunday while rainfall was also reported in Palamu, Dhanbad and Jamtara districts of the state.
