Prime Minister has been misguided on Mandal Dam issue alleges Congress

Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee chief Dr Ajay Kumar has accused Chief Minister Raghubar Das and BJP MPs of misleading Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of Mandal Dam and the said that even a bucket of water will not be available to
Palamu division by this project. 

Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here he said that on the other hand the contractors' leaders and officials involved in this project will make money and pointed out the outcome of the Swarnarekha multipurpose project. He said that it was Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who had brought the project after the drought of 1969 and its foundation was laid by the than Bihar Chief Minister Jaggarnath Mishra.

Dr Kumar said that if Mr Das had his way than he would once again lay the foundation stones and inaugurate the projects of HEC, Bokaro Steel Plant, Tata and SAIL etc. He said that demanding amendments in the project a pad yatra under former minister K N Tripathi would be taken out on January 4 which will undertake a pad yatra of 52 kilometers and reach the programme at January 5 and hand over the demand letter to the Prime Minister.

Over the embargo imposed on wearing of black clothes, he said that the Chief Minister was afraid whether the para teachers, victims of Bakoria incident and displaced do not protest at the venue. He demanded that the Prime Minister should first declare economic package for drought-hit Jharkhand.

Mr K N Tripathi who was also present on the occasion said that Chief Minister and local MPS V D Ram and Sunil Singh for cheap popularity have kept the Prime Minister in dark and selected the scheme. He alleged that not a single drop of water will
be available to Palamu division and the foundation was being only laid for benefit of Bihar.
