Elephants kill one in Sonhatu of Ranchi

Ranchi: A group of elephants created havoc in Sonahatu of this district as they killed a person in Kudadih. The deceased has been identified as Jagmohan Singh Munda (58). The villagers said that a couple of elephants who have parted from their group every night create havoc in the village.

At the time of the incident, the man was in his fields when he was attacked by the elephants and killed. Upon receiving information forest ranger Ranvijay Singh reached on the spot and gave Rs 50,000 as immediate compensation and assured that the remaining payment would be made after completing the necessary paperwork.
