JVM (P) attacks state govt over Niti Aayog report on aspirational districts

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) said that the Delta Ranking issued by the Niti Aayog has opened the real truth
regarding the development in the state.

Party’s central spokesperson Yogendra Pratap Singh said that on the day when Chief Minister Raghubar Das was making claims for development on that day the Niti Aayog issued the Delta Rankings as per which among the 111 aspirational districts of the country Pakur in Jharkhand was at the bottom while in the last 20 districts seven are from Jharkhand including Chatra, Giridih, Sahibganj, Latehar, Hazaribagh and West Singhbhum.

Mr Pratap said that in the previous year’s ranking in the last 20 only 5 districts from Jharkhand were present which raises questions that if the government had really executed the development projects the number of districts should have been less but instead the number increased to 7. Mr Singh said that the ranking was prepared on the basis of the performance in health education basic amenities agriculture and water resources sector.

Mr Singh said that the state government has the habit of patting its own back and in last four year not a single work of development worth remembering has taken place only the Chief Minister has spent Rs 323 crore for shining his own image through advertisements.
