Ranchi DC orders to keep an eye on nuisance during New Year’s celebrations

Ranchi: The district administration has this time decided to take strict action against those who would be found drunk during picnics and driving vehicles as part of New Year’s celebrations under the influence of alcohol. DC Rai Mahimpet Rey has issued instructions
to Sadra and Bundu SDPO and the BDOs Cos and police station officer incharge to maintain special security at the picnic spots on December 31 and January 1 while on the roads special checking drive would be conducted to find people driving under the influence of liquor or any other drugs.

The DC said that during picnic the youth under the influence of alcohol either indulge in rash driving or perform stunts in which accidents are caused therefore strict vehicle checking drive would be maintained. He said that all the dams, rivers and falls where large number of people gathers of picnics their divers would be deployed who would be mostly locals.

He has also asked the Cos and the police station incharge to identify the danger points at tourists spots by using a red cloth or any other signage possible.
