Employment generation is a special priority for government, many schemes also started for self-employment: Hemant Soren

Sahibganj: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said that employment generation is a special priority for the state government. Addressing the people at Hissaghatu grounds under Barhet block of this district after inaugurating schemes and laying foundation stone for projects he said that on the one hand the recruitment process in government departments is being expedited and on the other hand many schemes have been made for self-employment which are being implemented rapidly. He said that since the government belonged to the people therefore keeping in mind their aspirations, expectations and needs, the work is being done to make plans and implement them on the ground.

He said that the welfare and development of all sections including Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, Backward Classes, Women, Elderly and Youth is the priority of the Government. He said that the way people are living in the village, the schemes are being implemented according to the same so that the rich tradition is also preserved and life continues in a normal way.

The Chief Minister said that everyone should get the benefit of the development and welfare schemes of the government. The schemes should be given wide publicity at the village level and the district administration should hold meetings in the villages and panchayats to inform the people about the schemes and make sure to get its benefits, he said.

He said that the country and the world have been facing the corona pandemic for more than one and a half years and Jharkhand is also no exception to this as this pandemic has disturbed the whole system. He said that millions of people have lost their lives across the country but in the middle of all this the government has succeeded to a great extent in controlling the corona by better management. Especially during the lockdown implemented due to Covid-19, the government ensured return of the labourers trapped from other states by plane, train and bus and not only free food was arranged for them, but many schemes were also started for their employment as a result of this, not a single person died of hunger in the state. He said that now the speed of corona has reduced and the pace of development is accelerating in the state as part of which new schemes and policies are being made
so that the people of the state can get their full benefits. 

The Chief Minister said that the threat of corona has not been completely averted yet and in such a situation in such a situation people should remain alert and take precautions and must take the vaccine. The government has started many welfare schemes like Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Nilambar Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana, Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana, Phoolo Jhano Aashivard
Yojna and Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana. He asked the villagers to join these schemes and take full benefits. The Chief Minister said that the government has provided green ration cards to those who do not have ration cards and now the government has decided to give eggs 6 days a week to children in schools, while all those above 60 years of age will get pension.

In the program the Chief Minister inaugurated 28 schemes at a cost of Rs 1875. 74 lakh. This includes laying the foundation stone of 27 schemes worth Rs 1845.53 lakh and inaugurating one scheme worth Rs 30.21 lakh. On this occasion, he distributed assets among 120 beneficiaries of schemes run by various departments. On this occasion MP Mr. Vijay Hansda, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Press Advisor to Chief Minister Abhishek Prasad, Commissioner of Santhal Pargana Chandra Mohan Kashyap, DIG Sudarshan Prasad Mandal, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police and other officials were present.
