Chatra: In a major success for the district police three ultras including an area commander of the Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti committee TSPC have been arrested. Briefing the press Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan at Lawalong police station said that among the arrested included Area Commander Shravan Oraon alias Hemant. The officers and jawans involved in the team have seized 20 live cartridges of 7.62 mm including AK-47 and three mobile phones of various companies from the arrested ultras.
The SP said that a secret information was received that Area Commander Shravan was coming towards Chatra from Gaya with his family members. Taking quick action on the information, a team was formed under the leadership of Simaria SDPO. In this, the jawans of the district force including Police Sub Inspector Sachin Das and Lawalong police station in-charge Vivek Yadav were included.
During the operation itself, two ultras including the Area Commander were arrested near Gosaindih of Hunterganj police station area located on Chatra-Gaya main road NH-99. While on their behest another ultra Shravan Kumar Singh, a resident of Manatu, Palamu, was arrested with AK-47 and cartridges.
