Daltonganj: A Maoists who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head was arrested from Dema under Panki Police Station area of the Palamu district. Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha said that the arrested maoist has been identified as Vijay Oraon who was wanted in many cases.
He said that police had received a secret ti off that Oraon would be visiting his home in Panki after which a team of
the Jharkhand Jaguar and district police nabbed him. He said that the arrested ultra had executed various crimes in Palamu Latehar and Chatra districts and was also the main accused in planting a series of landmine in Taal Ghati of Panki and attacking policemen. He said that in the series landmine blast which had occurred in 2012 a jawan of the CRPF was injured.
