Daltonganj: In a major success for the Palamu police against illegal cattle trader in the region a container full of animals was seized on the NH- 98 under Chattarpur Police station area and two men were arrested in this connection. Police sources said that following
a secret tip-off regarding the smuggling of the animals in the container a vehicle was apprehended on the NH and in the process of checking it was found filled with more than 30 cattle comprising buffaloes and its calves.
In the police action the driver and the cleaner of the truck identified as Md Faiyaz Khan and Md Jahid Khan both hailing from Hemjapur under Sherghati Police Station area of Bihar were arrested while cattle trader Shamin Khan and vehicle owner Sabir Ansari managed to flee from the spot.
