Death of ADJ Uttam Anand: CBI team reaches Dhanbad, commences questioning

Dhanbad: The Central Bureau of Investigation has commenced its probe into the killing of Additional district and sessions judge Uttam Anand as part of which it reached the Sadar Police Station and collected details regarding the incidents from senior officials of Dhanbad Police. 

After the fir was registered by the CBI in the case on Wednesday the 20 member team of the CBI reached Dhanbad and commenced its work. The CBI sleuths are conducting search at different locations and are also questioning from few people.

The CBI team is being led by ASP Vijay Kumar Shukla who is famous for cracking the 2014 Badayun Case related to murder of two dalit sisters.

Following the recommendation of the Jharkhand Government the case was handed over to the CBI which has registered an fir in the case on the basis of statement given by the widow of the judge before Dhanbad Police on July 28. The team of the CBI also consists of experts in DNA profiling, finger prints, forensic psychology etc.

Going forward the CBI will also take the case diary from the Invetigating Officer of the case and will also sit with the officials of the SIT which was constituted by the police headquarters to look into the case.

Judge Uttam Anand was killed after an autorickshaw hit him on July 28 while he was going on morning walk.
