Palamu administration reaches Naxal infested Chetma, lays foundation stone for development projects

Daltonganj: The Palamu district administration reached the LWE infested area of Chetma which is located on the bordering areas of the Patan and Chattarpur Police Station areas and laid foundation stones for various development projects including construction
of bridges and culverts.

Addressing a function organised on the occasion Chattarpur MLA Radha Krishna Kishore said that Chetma and adjoining villages were denied development as they were maoist infested, however development of these areas is his key priority he said after laying foundation stones for projects worth Rs 5.50 crore including those related to the construction of road, bridges and culverts, Anganwadi center and sports ground. He said that under Administration at your door programme keeping in mind the severe winter season 200 blankets were distributed among the needy while in the next fiscal steps would be also taken for  improvement of irrigation facilities in the area.

On the other hand, Palamu SP inderjeet Mahtha who was also present on the occasion distributed schools bags, toffees, copy, pen among the school children and said that it was due to the police that Maoists have been removed from the area. He said that apart from providing security was also involved in ensuring the proper execution of the development schemes. ASP Operations Arun Kumar Singh along with other government and police officials were also present on the occasion.
