ADJ Uttam Anand cremated in Hazaribagh, family demands CBI probe

Hazaribagh: The mortal remains of late Additional District and Sessions Judge Uttam Anand were consigned to flames at the Muktidham here.

Father of the late Judge lit the pyre of his son. A huge crowd had gathered for the cremation of the late judge which was witnessed right from his home located at Shivpuri to Mukti Dham.

Family members of the late judge live in Shivpuri locality with his father and brother also being lawyers. Uttam Anand was selected for judicial services in the year 2002 and had his first posting in Bokaro.

He had served as judicial magistrate in Jamshedpur, Gumla, Ranchi and Daltonganj and late got promoted and was posted at ADJ One in Tenughat from where he was later transferred to Dhanbad. The judge lived with his family in Judge Colony in Dhanbad. Apart from his wife Kirti Sinha he is survived by two teenage daughter Kaushiki Anand (16), Kavya Anand (14) and son Kunal (11).

On Wednesday morning Judge Uttam Anand was out for morning walk when he was hit by a speeding autorickshaw from behind. He was later admitted in the hospital where he scummed to the injuries.
