Daltonganj (RP Service): Vice chairman of the Chattarpur Nagar Panchayat Subhash Mishra was arrested on the charges of participating in a wedding of minor girl which took place in Sadmaa village of Chattarpur Police Station area of the Palamu district. Police said that on October 25 the marriage of minor daughter of one Krishna Bhuiyaan was held in the village in which the chairman and vice chairman were present.
The duo did not try to stop the wedding of the minor after which later an FIR in this connection after which Subhash Mishra was arrested today while raids were on to arrest the chairman of the Nagar panchayat Mohan Jaiswal. Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha said that in this case the husband of the minor has been already sent to jail and soon the chairman of the Chattarpur Nagar panchayat would also be arrested as it was a crime on his part to attend the wedding of a minor.
