Road construction department gets rid of mechanical division

Ranchi: Jharkhand Government has done away with the mechanical division and all the engineers and other staff of this department have been posted in other offices. A decision in this regard was however taken by the then Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and
Development Commissioner Amit Khare. The offices of the mechanical department of the road construction was located at Ranchi and Sahibganj.

In the Ranchi division office there were a total of 13 posts out of which 5 posts have been surrendered and eight staffs
have been shifted to other offices. On the other hand in Sahibganj office out of the total 14 posts 10 have been surrendered and four other staffs shifted else where. However it has been decided by the government that as per the pledge of the finance department that the shifted staff would be getting the pay band and grade pay which has been already approved in the shifted departments.
