Two Jharkhand players get 20 thousand rupees each from the CM Vivekananda Fund

Two players from Jharkhand, Ritik Thakur and Sugandh Kumari were sent to participate in 1st South Asian Open Karate Championship 2018 held in Bhutan on December 6-8, given an incentive of 20 thousand rupees each from the Chief Minister Vivekanandan Fund. 

The two players got the first position in the 1st South Asian Open Karate Championship in 2018 and gave 3 gold and 1 silver medal to Jharkhand. Both the players are from Kudu of Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. Coach Amit Kumar Singh said that Ritik Thakur got the first position in the men's competition and two gold medals and Sugand Kumari got one gold medal and one silver medal in the women's competition. 

In this competition, 32 participants from across India including 12 nations participated.
