Ranchi: The election bonds which had been launched in the country to bring transparency in the politics has raised questions from the political parties themselves as barring the BJP none of the other parties were able to take any advantage of the scheme and on the other hand the regional political parties were the most hit.

The regional political parties in Jharkhand including the JMM has received Rs 52.33 lakh as donation while that of the JVM(P) was 73.79 lakh rupees. Since the month of October, the election bonds are being sold in Kutchery branch of the SBI however the bank failed to come out with details over the number of bonds which have been sold citing orders of the finance ministry which has asked to maintain complete secrecy over the selling of these bonds. After the initial 11 branches of SBI which were authorised to sell these bonds, other 18 banks were also registered to sell these bonds which included 29 branches of SBI in the country.

In the Gazette it was said that these bonds will be sold in only January, April July and October and during the Lok Sabha polls the tenure can be increased by 30 days. Central spokesperson of the JMM Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the policy of the central government is itself wrong. He said that BJP wants that only national political parties should get an advantage of donations, therefore, election bonds were launched however they entire process appears nowhere to be transparent.
