CM visits Chesire Home and Nandraj Old Age Ashram, interacts with residents

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday visited the Chesire Hime and Nandraj Old Age Home located on the Bariyatu Road of the capital.

The Chief Minister during his visit interacted with the Divyang children and old age people living in Cheshire Home and the elderly who were at the Nandraj Old Age Home and also inquired at the facilities being provided to them. He collected information from the management of the two places regarding the well being, accommodation, life style, food of the people and gave necessary instructions.

While interacting with the children and the elderly he said that on regular interval he keeps meeting them. He said that the entire world is battling Coronavirus therefore there was a need to adopt precautions.

The Chief Minister said that to stop the spread of the virus in the state it is important that people remain in their homes. He said that to tackle the situation the government is taking many steps and collective measures are being taken to wipe out the virus from the world. The Chief Minister said that under these circumstances it was also important to take care of those people who are without their family. He said that the state government is working to provide all types of help to people hailing from all the sections of the society. He requested the people to maintain social distancing, adopt cleanliness and use masks.

The Chief Minister said that since his parents come from an agricultural family and has been involved in farming therefore during the lockdown in his residence he alongwith his family members had grown watermelons which he had come to distribute among them and hoped that they would like the taste of the fruit.

The Chief Minister assured that going forward the government will work to further improve the facilities for them. On the occasion he also directed the officials to provide medical kits and other essential medicines to the people.
