Saraikela: The body of a woman was recovered from near a pond located at Kashidih under RIT Police Station area of this district.
Along with the woman the seven-year-old daughter was also found in a seriously injured condition. The deceased has been identified as Juli Tudu, a resident of Taladi under the Musabani Police Station area of East Singhbhum district.
She along with her daughter lived in a rented accommodation in the area while her husband is outside the state for work. Police said that both the woman and her daughter have been attacked with knives.
The girl has been admitted at MGM Hospital Jamshedpur while the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital. Police said that villagers informed the police station after they found the body of a woman near the pond while her daughter was thrown next to her.
