Man beaten to death for demanding money after playing drums in Palamu

Daltonganj: A 'dhol-wala' was beaten to death in Bageya village under Chattarpur Police Station area of the Palamu district for demanding money after playing drums in a household of the same village.

The deceased has been identified as Laxman Mochi. Later a fir in this connection was registered at the police station by the son of the deceased against three named accused.

Police said that as per the complaint Laxman Mochi had been called at the house of Nand Kishore Yadav for playing drums which he played till morning but when he demanded money for the same he was beaten by the house owners.

Later the man was taken to the hospital by his family members where he scummbed to his injuries. Chattarpur SDPO Sambhu Singh said that an fir in the case has been registered and further action will be taken as per the postmortem report.
