10 lakh additional doses of Covishield reaches state

Ranchi: In a major boost to the ongoing vaccination against Covid-19 the state on Friday received 10 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine.

On Thursday also the state had received two lakh doses of the vaccine. Upon arrival of the vaccines at the Ranchi airport they were immediately taken to the warehouse at Namkum from were they were later dispatched to the district.

With the arrival of the vaccines so far the issue of the scarcity of the vaccines has been addressed to a certain extent. Earlier due to lack of vaccines in many centres across the state the vaccination drive was stopped.

Even in the Sadar Hospital at Ranchi after 10 am the vaccination was stopped but as the supply later resumed in the day the process of vaccination was once again started.
